Count the number of times you’ve seen it. You open your email account to see a huge, apparently unending list of emails. Taking your time, you gingerly open each one, scanning through them for 10–20 seconds at a time. You’ll keep reading if anything piques your curiosity. If not, it’s only a matter of pressing the delete key. This is a common occurrence, so you’re not the only one. Every day, tens of thousands, if not millions, of internet users go through the same thing.

Knowing this tendency makes it much more challenging for internet marketers. When it comes to building a strong downline, our ability to make the most of these precious few seconds of reading time is critical. When it comes to sending emails, do you have what it takes? Almost every day, the vast majority of us write emails to friends and family. Most of the time, we do it without giving it any thought. These emails typically fail to have the desired effect since they’re sent out with errors and aren’t crafted with the utmost care.

Sending out a bulk email is more likely to draw attention to a website than it is to close a deal, so be sure to take your time and clearly define your goals before you begin writing. The following are some helpful hints:

* Maintain brevity and clarity in your writing.

It’s best to avoid employing long or obscure terms because some readers may not be able to decipher them.

* When one word will do, don’t use three.

If it is lengthy and full of nonsense, boredom will set in and the email will be erased before it has even reached its finish (this one is important!!).

* There is a lot at stake here.

By emailing it, you have wasted your time if the reader does not respond positively to it immediately.

* Even the finest authors have to spend time revising and reworking their work.

Start with a headline that grabs attention. It might be a statement or an inquiry. Get their attention immediately or you’ll lose them.

Take a step back and ask yourself if it’s compelling enough to make you want to keep reading to find out what happens next.

The headlines entice readers to read on, guiding them to the following paragraph. This is when you begin to pique the reader’s attention so that they will continue reading on to the next line… and the next.

Your firm may even benefit from providing them with a free gift or a monthly newsletter. If you’re looking for free e-books to distribute, there are many available online.

A guarantee or a complete refund should be offered if the goal of your email is to close a deal. This should put their minds at ease.

Emailing a few acquaintances who are interested in business and asking them to email you is a fun way to test your email. If you don’t get a response, consider it a clue that your email was deleted before it got to the end of the chain. Prior to re-sending to your master list, make sure you go back and remove any extraneous text that may have been included in the original email.

Depending on personal preferences, product variances, market conditions, etc., the strategies and methods you utilize will change. It’s important, though, that you put in some time and effort before sending them out. You’ll be surprised at how much better you look.
